Abstract
A panel (made up of cast and crew from the original production) and audience discussion of the 1983 musical Gay Side Story, a parody of West Side Story. The program includes clips from the only recording, original cast members performing "Gee, Officer Krupke” and an audience sing along of the final number. Created and performed by community members to comment on contemporary attitudes towards gays and lesbians, the play was part of the Maine Lesbian and Gay Men's Symposium 10.
