Abstract
nterview with Jake J Gordon, kitchen helper at the Maine Chance Farm. Dan was born in Milo, Maine and attended the Goodwill Hinckley School, which he graduated from in May 1962. He worked with Maurice and Josie Cordonnier. He discusses the dishes prepared for guests, and the vegetable garden on the property, and recalls working as a butler in his third summer. Guests mentioned include Ava Gardener (who was studying for her role in Night of the Iguana), Margaret Payson, Janet Auchincloss, and Mrs. John Foster Dulles.
