Abstract
Interview with Betty White, who worked at the staff kitchen ad Maine Chance Farm during the summers in the 1960s. During the rest of the year, Betty worked at apple orchards. Betty was born in August and grew up in Mount Vernon. She discusses Arden’s property holdings and farm animals. She remembers the manager coming to eat at the staff kitchen to eat because the guests’ food was not filling, and to enjoy the company of the staff.
