Creating an engaging library program for freshmen can be tricky, especially when competing with other orientation activities. Last fall, Fogler Library hosted a mystery scavenger hunt as part of a series of events around campus, adding a gaming component to catch student interest and make it fun. Students searched for clues to solve a case of blueberry espionage while learning about the library. For anyone interested in hosting fun student engagement programs within the library. Participants will learn tips for designing a scavenger hunt and take away a toolkit for planning their own.
