Abstract

The purpose of the Maine Crime Victimization Survey (MCVS) is to understand the extent of criminal victimization, crime reporting, and assistance seeking, and to identify differences in rates between demographic groups. A survey patterned after the National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) was sent out in January 2022 to randomly selected adult Mainers. A total of 1,363 completed responses were received.
