Abstract
The Maine CAH Patient Safety Collaborative is a network of the 16 Critical Access Hospitals in Maine and other interested stakeholders to advance best practices of patient safety in Maine. The purpose of the Collaborative is to work on common issues related to patient safety and quality improvement. The Collaborative will serve as a forum for the development and implementation of specific quality improvement initiatives, review of best practices, future grant opportunities, shared resources and benchmarking, and policy development particular to small rural hospitals in Maine.
