Description

Jacques Santucci and Marc Beltrante, hosts of the WMPG radio show À la votre (or Cheers! In English), interview French director, producer, and screenwriter Luc Besson. Their discussion centers on Besson’s new film Arthur & the Invisibles (Arthur et les Minimoys). During the interview, Besson talks about the origins of the film as well as his selection of voice actors for the English and French versions, his inspiration for the story, and how his previous choices as a director informed his new work. They also discuss the long process of creating an animated work in such detail, as well as the film score, written by Éric Serra who has written the music for most of Besson’s movies. The first portion of the interview is conducted in French and the latter part is conducted in English.
