Abstract
The ongoing #metoo campaign — encouraging women to speak out about sexual assaults — led part-time USM faculty member Kimberly Simmons to create an action plan for change.
"The forces that kept everybody so silent, so willing to not stop (Harvey) Weinstein all those years, those forces aren't really changed by our sadness about it," Simmons told reporter Kathryn Skelton.
The Sun Journal in Lewiston published the 10-step plan on Oct. 22.
Her steps include believing one's self and others, addressing instances of toxic masculinity and knowing civil, workplace and educational rights.
