EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Immigrants are a vital part of Maine's economy and population. By supporting immigrant-origin students in higher education, USM can help to ensure that Maine has a well-educated workforce and a thriving economy. USM graduates contribute to the State’s workforce, enrich communities with their cultural perspectives, and become leaders in their chosen fields. By investing in their success, USM is investing in the future of Maine.
