Abstract

Teachers in many countries and regions were impacted in unprecedented ways due to the Covid-19 pandemic when countless schools were closed and education suddenly shifted to distanced teaching online. In particular, this study asks “What impact, if any, does the COVID-19 pandemic have on teachers in Maine?” The data was collected via interviews from teachers in Maine who provided distance teaching online during the pandemic. The researchers expect to find that many of the teachers interviewed were negatively impacted by the need to provide emergency remote teaching.
