Abstract
The analysis of intertidal and sub-tidal matrix of the New Meadows River complied from vibracore taken at two pre-contact Native American sites. The marine environment is examined and described by analyzing the growth and species of bivalves and univalve samples screened from the matrix. The analysis utilizes radiocarbon dates to reconstruct depositional environments and relative sea-level position changes, over the past 4,500 years. A cross-section stratigraphy is presented graphically for both sides.
