Abstract

Abstract This research investigates the disparity in tr representation of Black, Brown, Red and Yellow humans in higher education and how “diversity”, as social political performative behavior, can actually evade needs for change, and possibly exacerbate inequality. Diversity efforts to merely fulfill, “Diversity for technical legal requirements” can perpetuate and reinforce racism through covert social messaging. The lack of diverse content in Western Civilization’s pedagogical curriculum and canon signals insincerity to correct social injustice through subliminal and the overt signaling of non-inclusive intentions. Although there is disparity across all the disciplines, this study focuses on Anthropology and Sociology. Their specific role in establishing false social facts, as evidence, that has been used historically to help write government policy, shape political agendas, and established social and organizational practices of racial discrimination in academia and government. This talk will describe the social and anthropological theories built on distorted evidence and unethical practices dating back to Johann Friedrich Blumenbach in 1779. The establishment of the Columbia University, School of Anthropology, and the University of Chicago, School of Sociology supported the racist policies and sentiments that still exist today. These polices contribute to impeding social progress and contribute to the disparity of biological truths that contradict the one human race. The information discussed will illuminate how social inequality contributes to disparity in education, social and economic outcomes. The methodology for this research is critical analysis of published current and historical scholarly text.
