Abstract

In this collage, I use 10 different images to convey how I use writing daily in the world. My first image is a picture of Amazon. I use my writing on Amazon, to not only describe and detail products that I sell, but research new products and hot-selling items that are worth considering selling. Secondly, I used a photo of a bedroom. My bedroom is the place where most of my writing exists, whether it be for schoolwork, work I bring home, or just personal reflections. My bedroom is the place I find most comforting and productive to write in. Third I have a photo of google docs. I do most of my writing on this platform, as it is easy to use, auto-saves itself and has unlimited storage for whatever I see fit. Fourth I have a photo of graffiti. Although graffiti is art, it represents writing in the simplest form. Graffiti is usually one word or small phrases with exaggerated letters, but deeper meanings. This is writing that I enjoy doing as it lets my artistic juices flow and unwind after a long day. Fifth, I have a photo of a Laptop/Computer. A laptop or computer is the main source of technology that I do my writing on. Whether it be at school with my laptop or sitting in front of my I-Mac at home, most of my writing exists on this type of technology. Sixth, I have a photo of a desk in an office; this photo resembles the desk at the law office I work at. I use writing at the law office to accomplish a variety of tasks such as: annotating new case files, organizing old or new cases, and assistance in discovery of materials. Seventh I have a photo of a Resume. I use writing on my resume to highlight my skills, job experiences, and to convey myself to potential employers when I am searching for new positions. Eighth, I have a server notepad. I use writing in this fashion when I am serving at the restaurant I work at on the weekends. Many times, it is shortened words, phrases, or just general notes. This writing, although simple, helps me immensely on the job as it allows me to work quickly on the go. Ninth, I have a photo of a cellphone. I use my phone for writing every day by sending simple text messages to check-in, find out information, send emails, and create reminders for myself. Lastly, I have a workout list. I use my writing on workout lists to keep myself on track when I go to the gym. By keeping a list of important workouts that I want to do during the week, it helps me focus on the task at hand when I am in that space.
