Abstract
Interview with Quimby Robinson, who worked as a chauffeur at Maine Chance from 1960-1961. Quimby describes his mother traveling from New York to Maine to give birth at Lewiston Hospital, so that her children would be born in Maine. He attended Colby College and worked as a chauffeur at Maine Chance in 1960 and 1961. He discusses Arden’s desire to own property in Mount Vernon, his work as a chauffeur, and living at Maine Chance in the summer. He remembers college women and other guests coming to Maine Chance to diet, and going to Chez Paree in Waterville with guests from the spa.
