Gay Monopoly Unboxing Video
Megan MacGregor, Susie Bock, and The Parker Sisters
The Gay Monopoly board game was created by the Parker Sisters in 1983 as a tongue-in-cheek version of the popular game. Gay Monopoly features many references to gay culture in the 1980s and offers a way for players to learn about the LGBTQ+ community.
This unboxing video, created by Megan MacGregor and Susie Bock at the University of Southern Maine, takes a look at the game and its specific history within Maine's LGBTQ+ community.
