Description
My artist book is about sexual assault and suffering from a sprained ankle.I chose to focus on color, texture, and text for my book. I chose light purple color for fear, blue for sadness, red for anger, and yellow for happiness. I also decided to write my own text instead of printing it out to emphasize how personal the story is to me. A lot of the Martha Hall books we looked at in the library helped inspire me to focus on color and text. With a lot of the body part maps as well, it helped me show how I could use metaphor in the book. During the process of creating the book, I learned that creating a book requires a lot of aspects of creativity and organization. Using things like color, text, length, organization takes a big role in making a book and helps create a theme or understanding of the story.
