Description
Have you ever had a problem with your skin? Most would say yes, not everyone experiences eczema. In my book I tell my story about my worst flare up in 6th grade. I wanted to show how I was feeling by the images I drew. When making the artist book I took what I learned from Rachel Church's book making techniques to create my style. I wanted it to look rough and messy on the outside because that’s what a “flawed exterior” is. I wanted to draw metaphorical images to show what I was feeling during the time of the flare up. I learned that it takes a lot of time and thinking to show the feelings through pages. I learned how to compare different images to the words I was using. The way a book can be put together could mean a lot of different things to the reader but the words help guide them to the author's purpose.
