Handwritten on verso: Built in 1825 by Stephen Darling whose daughter married Jas. Geant, this peace was also known as the Grant peace- The woman is Emily Darling Grant sister of Mrs. Bill Shaw and aunt of Henrietta Clark Bignay Gould- Dave Curtis says this house was built shortly after (same year, 1845) the Varrees place, which was torn down when the airport was built 1943 - This picture was taken by Curtis 1900-.
