Abstract
Homelessness represents a significant public health concern affecting communities across the nation. This matter requires society’s focus on cities because it is visible to all and represents an obvious public health concern. However, Homelessness is not limited to cities; it impacts people from varied backgrounds and exists as much in rural areas as in urban areas. Rural homelessness remains insufficiently researched and is frequently misunderstood. This project looks at one geographic location on the Coast of Maine and assesses the specific barriers and service gaps within this region.
