Abstract

The Right to Remain is literary nonfiction that explores my memory of the two-year period following a felony drunk driving arrest in Houston, Texas in 2005. The story begins on the night of the narrator's car accident and subsequent arrest, and follows her through alcohol dependency and recovery.
