Denis Mailhot was born December 13, 1948 in Lewiston, ME, the son of Wilfrid S. Mailhot, Jr. and Leona (Dutil) Mailhot. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, and had a long career in banking after returning home from military service. He and his wife Jeanne (Turgeon) Mailhot live in Lewiston. Denis serves as a permanent deacon in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland, ME.
