Abstract
Health insurance coverage is an important resource for ensuring the health and wellbeing of children. Compared with children who are uninsured, preventive and primary health care use is higher among children with health insurance coverage. 1 Coverage is also associated with lower risks of hospitalization; insured children are also less likely to report delaying care or poor overall health compared with uninsured children.
