Abstract
A reply to Janet Cohen Sherman's & Barbara Lust's "Children Are in Control" (see LLBA 27/2, 9302720), statements are made regarding the mischaracterization of theory in regard to children's acquisition of control structures. Objections are made as to Sherman's & Lust's interpretation of the authors' position on children's initial grammar & how it compares with adult grammar in regard to control.
