Preposition-Phrase Attachment in Noun Phrases

The ambiguity associated with preposition-phrase (PP) attachment in English phrases, eg, the triangle next to the circle below the square is examined. Findings show that when the number of PP modifiers is increased, the preference for head-interpretation becomes greater.
