Abstract
Distracting thoughts can disrupt learning. While some interrupting thoughts are helpful or relevant to the activity, others interfere with learning. Some students find it challenging to put aside distracting thoughts to concentrate on their studies. I invented a strategy to support executive functioning skill development and assist students in setting aside distracting thoughts so they can focus. Anyone can benefit from this easy-to-use technique called "No, thanks. Not right now."
