Monument Description
This memorial consists of a small granite plaque set into one side of a larger stonework monument atop a stonework pedestal. One side of the monument honors the "World War Heroes" and the other side honors Civil War soldiers from Washington. Maine. The monument sits on a small island with a flagpole and a newer granite monument to Veterans of all wars.
