Assessing the use of default choice modification to reduce consumption of plastic straws
This paper examines local governmental efforts in the US to reduce plastic straw consumption. Aside from bans, the most common approach in the US is to modify the default choice of straws by requiring that straws by provided only upon request by a customer.
