Greetings. >> My name is Janine easy and I'm a very proud Provost of the University of Southern Maine. >> Welcome to Thinking Matters 2020. >> We did quite envision that Thinking Matters would be held virtually this year, but I'm very happy to welcome you to digital comments, our archive of digital experiences, publications, and all things virtual at USF. And I'm delighted that Digital Commons will host this year. >> The digital event known as Thinking Matters. >> Making matters is our premier research at the university. It's the place where students present their posters, where they present their research talks, and even some of their creative work. >> Students are mentored by faculty and staff members who help them craft the best research presentations they can for public dissemination. >> Warm place in my heart, plea Thinking Matters. When I was a faculty member at UFM, I mentor students myself and just enjoyed seeing students initial bots blossom into something that would be ready for a public presentation for that kind of formal audience. And so I hope you will enjoy joining us and taking a journey through our archives to see that kind of work that USF students are able to produce. >> Stunning, and I couldn't be more proud. >> So, so congratulations to all the students, faculty, and staff members who made this live web event called Thinking Matters happened this year. >> It may be the first to weather events I've ever attended and I couldn't be more proud. >> So thank you. >> Congratulations to everyone and enjoy what you're about to experience.
