This issue of the NOAA Technical Memorandum NMFS-F/NEC series is a report (Technical Report No.22) prepared by the Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences, under Contract No. NA-80-FA-C-00008 to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). The contract was awarded as part of NOAA's Northeast Monitoring Program (NEMP), and was monitored by Mr. Robert N. Reid of NMFS's Northeast Fisheries Center. The report was submitted to NEMP in September 1982 as a final report on a benchmark survey of the benthos in the Casco Bay, Maine, area.
