Description

Queer Nation and AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power (ACT UP) Portland hosted a Family Values Picnic at the opening of the Bush/Quayle campaign office on Forest Avenue in Portland. Participants blasted “We Are Family” on a boom box, hula-hooped while eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on Wonderbread, and burned an effigy of Dan Quayle’s head on a stick after dousing it in kerosene.
