Comments
Besides telling the story of the unionization campaign for Local 1069, has many descriptions of antiquated work processes in the 1960, while depicting what union organizers saw as a discrepancy between what other, unionized Maine mills offered in pay and benefits compared to Westbrook at the time of unionization. Also discusses widespread favoritism in pay and job assignments, and how the advent of union representation brought an end to that form of discrimination.
