Monument Description

This ornate bronze plaque, mounted on a rough hewn granite slab, features a bronze eagle resting atop a shield with stars and stripes and crossed American flags. The years "1917" and "1919" rest inside laurel wreaths, and the Maine State Seal is rendered at the bottom of the monument.

Winthrop's Civil War monument is located in the same small green space.
