Monument Description

This monument (erected and dedicated in 2014) is dedicated to veterans of all wars from New Gloucester, Maine. The monument consists of a center monument (originally dedicated in 1968 and formerly located on the Masonic Hall lot) of a center tablet flanked by service emblems in red granite, and six granite tablets listing an honor roll of those from the area who served in the armed forces. For the purposes of this project, we have transcribed the general inscription for the monument, as well as the specific information related to World War I veterans.
