Description
About fifty students from Biddeford, Portland and South Portland High Schools staged an access-to-latex protest in Monument Square, downtown Portland. The students were members of FATE (Fight AIDS Transform Education), which was designed to help teens organize to make condoms available to students, for better HIV/AIDS education, for the inclusion of homophobia in sexual harassment policies, and for the formation of diversity groups in their schools that included but were not limited to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals.
